Hugo actually starts to believe the other man for a few moments because of a look on his face, but then he saw the clip and laughed quietly, quickly closing his mouth with one hand.

Honestly? He did not noticed that he just complimented the other. But as soon as he realized it - he’s own cheeks gone red extremely quickly. And, of course, the same quickly he turned away with a grumpy face.
